The hundredth anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded in 1922 Jacinto Benavente "for having continued a dignified traditions of the Spanish theater". On the occasion of the anniversary of this prestigious award, in the room, Margarita Xirgu of the Spanish Theatre, we had the opportunity to attend a series of staged readings, comprising four titles, to put value on the unknown dramaturgy of the author.
I had the privilege of leading the first of his works, Another’s Nest, premiered on October 6, 1894, began a new phase of modernization of the Spanish theater that extends over the first two decades of the TWENTIETH century.
