Make No mistake, despite the crisis, despite the occasional lack of institutional interest, the Spanish theatre is in good shape. In the next book we propose an analysis of the artistic, social and economic of the Spanish theatre in the now from a set of studies that cover the majority of the productions that have been made in recent years. With this purpose, four research groups of the Community of Madrid: Instituto del Teatro de Madrid, Universidad Complutense, the SELITEN@T University of Distance Education, the ILLA of the Superior Council of Scientific Research and the group ARES of the International University of La Rioja were formed, a common research project of the four: a digital Platform for research and dissemination of contemporary theatre in Madrid "TEAMAD" (ucm.is/TEAMAD). The papers of this volume are incorporated within this project. Among other trends we catch a glimpse of a broad concern theater for the problem of identity and marginalization in the young authors, the ascendancy of the figure of the director of the scene above, the author and the actors, the persistence of concerns theatrical european and Latin american (metateatro, theatre, document, posdramático, poor, political) of the performance, and the interest that still today they wake up the classics.
