NEW TERRITORIES IN THE SCENE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This volume, the fourth of the series Circuits theatre of the TWENTY-first century, derives from the current of the digital humanities and in him we analyze, from a global perspective, the impact of the technological revolution and the social framework in the theater contemporary. In the introduction, the editors propose a first reflection on the technology as a framework, the medium and the subject of theatre studies. The volume is divided into five chapters that include diverse works whose common thread is the study of theatre in relation to their environment. The first focuses on the territory and the influence that it exerts on the theatre: teatro argentino \u2014Maurico Tossi\u2014; theatre festivals in Spain \u2014Carmen Gonz\u00e1lez\u2014; theater in Antarctica \u2014Ellen Frye\u2014; Italian theater and funding \u2014Matteo Paoletti\u2014; a case study of creation between cultures starring Irina Kouberskaya \u2014Patricia Almarcha\u2014; and the peruvian theatre \u2014Rolando C. Reano\u2014. The second chapter deals with the theatre and its relationship with the university environment through four case studies: Roberto Danese, Alfredo Miralles, Paul F. Santa Cecilia, Maria Juarez and Guillermo Jury. The third reflects on the publishing market of the theatre in the Community of Madrid \u2014Mar Rebollo, Ana Isabel Labra and Esther Laso and Leon; and the dramatic literature \u2014Jose Corrales\u2014. The fourth chapter shows the potential of an approach to the study of the theater based on the new technologies and the digital humanities with two jobs, July V\u00e9lez and Rosa Aviles. And the fifth and last chapter, delves, through five studies, in the transmedialidad in the performing arts and how this narrow understanding between languages apparently far has favored the connection with reality, and the approach to the spectator \u2014Diego Palacio and Joseph M. Teira, Fernando P\u00e9rez-Sa\u00f1udo, Ana Sede\u00f1o, Amelia Ibarz and Mary Caudevilla\u2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
